Here at Body Society we LOVE the Versa Climber! Founders Jo and Andy knew right from the start they wanted to offer classes based around this unique piece of kit. Both have been using it for their own training and with clients for the past decade and recently we have seen more trainers, studios, athletes and celebrities working with the machine. Why does everyone love the Versa Climber? And why should you incorporate it into your workout? Founder Jo shares the benefits of the Versa Climber and why you should jump into a class
1. IT’S A TOTAL BODY WORKOUT
The Versa Climber utilises one of our earliest and most basic movement patterns: Crawling. Unlike other cardio machines, such as rowing, treadmill and bike, the movement of the Versa Climber requires your entire body. By crawling, but in an upright posture, you recruit the glutes, transverse abdominis, obliques, lats, delts, triceps, biceps, quads, calves and many more – in other words, this machine is working everything!
2. IT MULTITASKS
It provides strength and conditioning in one. That’s not to say you can skip your weight training – but it’s a convenient way to add conditioning elements into a cardio based workout.
3. IT’S GREAT FOR WEIGHT LOSS
If you are actively trying to increase the number of calories you burn through exercise, the Versa Climber is a great way to amp things up. By working the whole body, you need oxygen to get to more muscles, which demands a greater number of calories.

You don’t need to be working full out for the whole session. Our instructors use the beat of the music to set the workout pace, so you have sprints and recovery time. Not only does this keep it mentally fresh, but it pushes your body into a metabolic overdrive; so you continue to burn calories even after the class.

It is low impact on your joints, helps combat back pain and can torch fat. This allows you to stay in great cardio shape without putting stresses and strains on the body.
